Testing a Ruijie cloud classroom image: separate course software and student work

First, identify the product line

The official product page of Ruijie cloud desktop also introduces technical routes such as VDI, IDV and TCI. They can all be included in desktop management, but the locations where computing and storage occur are different; just because the name has "cloud", it does not mean that all desktops are calculated in the public network computer room.

The teaching environment accepts both teachers and students

Choose a course with actual homework, verify the teacher's distribution, student practice, submission and post-class restoration. First confirm which directories will be restored, and then process accounts and data; students cannot be asked to retrieve unsubmitted works after updating the image uniformly.

A class requires unified software, as well as issuing accounts, distributing assignments, saving student results, and handling class failures. Cloud Desktop can participate in this process, but the entrances seen by teachers, administrators, and students may not be the same. First use a real course to break down before, during, and after class, and then decide whether you need a standard image, an independent data directory, or shared classroom resources.

Don’t just accept one prototype for pilot testing. Students who choose different terminals, different networks and different input devices should do it once each, especially checking the Chinese path, practice materials and submission methods. At the end of the course, distinguish the environment to be restored and the works that must be retained; do not look for assignments temporarily before the unified reset. The collection of student data should also comply with school requirements and avoid using private accounts as a shared login for the whole class.

"Cloud desktop" does not mean that the calculation must be on the public network

VDI usually concentrates desktop computing in the data center, while routes such as IDV, VOI, and TCI may allow terminals to undertake local running tasks to varying degrees. They can share centralized management ideas, but have different impacts on network outages, terminal configurations, and local data. When selecting a model, first draw the calculation location, mirroring location and personal data location instead of guessing the working principle from the product name.

Where the conclusion applies and what to do next

The enterprise cloud desktop project is not an hourly cloud PC open to individuals by default; offline capabilities and peripheral support must be confirmed according to the specific architecture and model.
